Great frog and heel bulbs.
ROXY is an 11 year old Morgan/Arab mare.  She is ridden barefoot for long rides and has never taken a lame step.  Her owner keeps her on a diet that helps her feet perform at an optimum level.

TESS is a 2 1/2 year old Morgan/Arab filly.  Her owner wants her to start out barefoot and never have shoes.  This was her first barefoot trim.  She has the great beginnings of strong hooves.  There will be more improvement in the next few trims and I will post the updates.

She is relaxed and stands parallel. No soreness here!

Nice foot all around
Star is an 11 year old Arab mare.  She has been barefoot for about 8 months.  Her prepurchase radiographs show that she has sidebone in her left front and her coffin bone isn't ground parallel but she is very sound and comfortable.  Star does tend to wear her hind toes more but boots are helping with this.  She is a great example that barefoot is not only for perfect feet.

Update:  Since Star had some chiropractic work done, she is not dragging her hinds as much!  Chiropractic is proving to be a great resource if you have issues with your horse that can't seem to be helped.  Please don't conclude that there is nothing you can do for your horse if they have a quirk or attitude, they may just need an adjustment.  This has been proven with my own horses and my clients' horses.

It is never too soon to start proper hoof care.  Stormin' Norman is a 2 month old mini colt.  Good hoof care early will ensure this perfect hoof will stay that way!  Check out Pint Size Miniatures for more pictures.

Casey is an 18 year old gelding that came from an SPCA seizure a couple of months ago.  His feet were long but in overall good condition, considering his circumstances.  It's hard to see in the solar view of the before picture but his wall was a good 1.5 inches long and the heels were too far forward.  After the trim, his heels and hoof wall were closer to where they should be.
